The Glass House holiday lodge was designed in collaboration with Prestige Park and Leisure Homes after they approached Henry Ward Design looking for fresh ideas from a designer working in an alternative industry to their own. The result is a contemporary holiday lodge which Prestige say is “their most spectacularly innovative lodge yet”. It was launched at The Lawns Caravan Extravaganza Show near Hull in September 2015 where it stood out amongst its competitors, not least because of its sharp exterior styling and unique elevated roof profile.
From the inside, skylights and internal glazing combine with beautifully placed external glazing to allow a plethora of light to grace every room. As soon as you step inside you are in awe of the industrial chic interior. You can only admire the intelligent pairing of aged earthy woods and worn textures with smooth metallic details. These raw features are greatly contrasted with the softness of the fabrics with the gentle greys and creams ensuring that this timeless lodge is a warm and inviting ‘home away from home’. The Glass House can be viewed all year round at Prestige Park and Leisure Homes’ showground in Rushden, Northamptonshire. |
“It was a very enjoyable experience working with Henry and the results of the process speak for themselves. The Glass House has definitely caught the imagination of the public and the industry. We hope to continue this collaboration for many years to come as we feel both companies have a similar vision as to what the future of holiday homes could look like. Watch this space for more exciting designs to come” SILVANO GERANIO, MD OF PP&LH
